What is the INR-self testing training programme?

Supplementary to our INR self-testing service, we offer INR self-testing training to help enable the scale up of patients on the service. The INR self-testing training includes support for the use of Inhealthcare’s national digital health platform and health coaching for clinicians to support successful patient training.

Jeannie Hardy, Telehealth Programme Manager at County Durham and Darlington Foundation Trust leads the INR self-testing training programme. She will work alongside health clinicians and will share the ‘INR self-testing Health Call Model’ which has been successfully developed and recognised nationally.

Our INR self-testing service in partnership with Roche, enables patients to manage their warfarin treatment from home, without having to attend regular clinic appointments.

Why is INR self-testing training needed?

The employment of coaching skills can empower clinicians moving forward with change and a focus on the practical tasks required will support successful implementation.

Differences in personality, communication, thinking styles, values and culture can sometimes cause difficulties, even when similar objectives are sought. Key communication skills are required to enable co-operation from all involved and competency is also needed to present ideas and to negotiate any blocks or pitfalls that can be encountered along the way.

The Health Call INR self-testing training programme framework includes:

Purpose and vision

Identity and roles

Beliefs and values

Capabilities

Behaviours

Environment

If you are interested in our training for INR self-testing you can download our INR self-testing training brochure or contact a member of the team who will be able to talk this through in more detail.
